INFO: [Jarey's speaking] Our first EP "First Step" was recorded in Studio Watercastle in the city of Jyväskylä in September 2005. We recorded the songs in one day and mixed the EP on the next day. First two songs, “a man without a hat” and “it was the thrill of a lifetime” are early songs. The last song “drum her away” was quite new song when we entered the studio and we practiced that one a little bit more than the other songs beforehand. “Drum her away” is our longest song I guess, almost 5 minutes. The second EP "Northern Lights" was recorded in September 2006 at the same place, Studio Watercastle. Just like at the first time, we had only two days to perform the songs and make the music sound. Thanks to Arttu Sarvanne, who has recorded and mixed both EPs, it was possible. He's truly a decent fellow. “Waiting for a sign” and “this is the night” are new songs. The last song of the EP, “northern lights”, is our very first song. We just thought we have to record it now. I don't know exactly why but we also decided to name the EP as “northern lights”.

What else could I tell about Movements? Well, we are three boys from Jyväskylä, Finland. We started our band in 2003 (or something). Actually, I and Eko started the band and after a few months Kaitzu (the drummer) joined us. Frankly, we have known each other for sometime. For example, I and Eko played in the same punk rock band over eight years ago (though Eko was singing back then while I was trying to learn how to play guitar)! And I have played with Kaitzu too before Movements was put together. We had a weird instrumental funk band at high school. I was the bass player of the band and Kaitzu was busy behind the drums.
